Yakama Tribe Coho Re-introduction Program

The Yakama tribe is attempting to re-introduce Coho salmon to tributaries in the Mid-Columba. Beginning in 2010, Biomark provided services to tag 6,000 Coho at Winthrop NFH and an additional 5,500 Coho at Entiat NFH. Between November 2010 and January 2011, the Yakama Tribe is planning on having 22,000 Coho tagged at Winthrop National Fish Hatchery (WA), Klickitat Hatchery (WA) and Washougal Hatchery (WA).
